Day 1- The journey starts from Safdarjung Railway Station in Delhi. Dinner is served in Palace on Wheels dining car.
Day 2- Train reaches Jaipur. The tourists go for a tour of the pink city after breakfast on Palace on Wheels. The tourists visit Amber Fort and other places. Lunch is served at Amber Fort. Dinner is served at Jal Mahal Palace.
Day 3– The train reaches Sawai Madhopur. Early morning jungle safari is organised for the tourists in the Ranthambore National Park. The tourists return to the train after the safari for lunch and onward journey to Chittorgarh. On reaching Chittorgarh, the tourists go for a tour of the famed Chittorgarh Fort. Evening snack is served at the cafe in Chittorgarh Fort. After dinner at a grand hotel, the tourists return to the train.
Day 4- The train arrives at the lake city of Udaipur. Excursion tours to the various tourist locations in the city are organised. The tourists also experience boat ride in Lake Pichola. Lunch is served in a heritage hotel. At the end of the day, the tourists return to Palace on Wheels for dinner and onward journey.
Day 5- The train reaches Jaisalmer in the morning. The tourists go for sightseeing tours to various attractions in the city including the iconic Jaisalmer Fort. Lunch is available at Palace on Wheels and at a deluxe hotel. Camel ride is organised in the evening followed by refreshments on the sand dunes. Dinner is also served on the dunes. After that, the tourists return to Palace on Wheels for the onward journey.
Day 6- Palace on Wheels chugs into Jodhpur in the morning. After breakfast, the tourists go on sightseeing tours of the various forts and other attractions in the city. Lunch is served in a resort after which the tourists return to the train. Dinner is served onboard Palace on Wheels.
Day 7- The train reaches Bharatpur. The tourists go for early morning bird viewing tour in Keoladeo Ghana National Park. After that, the tourists return to the train for the onward journey to Agra. After arrival in Agra in the morning, the tourists explore the various attractions in the city principal among them being the Taj Mahal. Lunch is at served at a deluxe hotel. The journey to Delhi starts at night.
Day 8- Palace on Wheels arrives at Safdarjung Railway Station to bring the curtains down on tour. The tourist’s check out after breakfast.

The Palace on Wheels fare is on a per person per night basis and depends upon the type of the occupancy of the cabins; single, double or triple. The Palace on Wheels train price is more during peak season from October to March as compared to the lean season from April to September.
